Bring a Gathering to Your Community

In small, facilitated, in-person Gatherings, people imagine and co-create desired futures together — and we are dedicated to supporting the facilitators and hosts who make these conversations possible.

How to Host a Gathering

We are here to support you if you want to bring a group of 5 to 12 friends or neighbors together to really hear each other, to imagine a possible future and to make it happen.

What does it involve?  First, decide if you want to do a short (3.5 hour) Gathering, or an extended one (9 hours) on a Friday night and all day Saturday.  Choose a date and place (your home is probably fine!), invite your guests, confirm your team of facilitators, purchase some food and drinks, and clear some walls for the paper flip charts!

There is no charge for the Gathering, but if you like you can pass a hat to help cover expenses.

Our Cadre of Gathering Facilitators

We provide online support and resources for our growing team of volunteers to learn and prepare to lead Gatherings in their own neighborhoods and beyond.   Volunteers are invited to frequent one-hour Zoom seminars to gain confidence and develop skills at their own pace.

Potential Gathering Hosts can contact the Cadre of Gathering Facilitators to find  Facilitators near them or Facilitators who are willing to travel to their location.

Volunteer Facilitators offer their services freely, and pay their own travel costs.  However Gathering Hosts may offer accommodations for Facilitators, and may pass a hat at their Gathering to assist with expenses.

If the idea of serving as a Gathering Facilitator captures your interest, please connect with us HERE.
